Selenium is a trace element antioxidant used in our specialty proposed in lozenges Gum Arabic.

His Atomic Number? Thirty-four!

A bit of history

Discovered in 1817 by the Swedish chemist Jöns Jacob Berzelius (1779-1848), Selenium is a rare element, very often present in trace amounts in sulphides where it substitutes for sulphur.

From the 1950s onwards, animal studies revealed its importance as an antioxidant.

Do you know that?

Selenium contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system.

According to some studies, the French are undeniably deficient in Selenium, while the need increases with age.

What for?

Selenium is a metal present in several enzymes and has, in particular, a protective antioxidant cellular action: the immune system keeps the body in good balance by identifying and fighting potential threats.

These include bacteria, viruses, parasites.

However, Selenium, as a powerful antioxidant, enhances immunity.

Selenium deficiency has been shown to have a negative impact on immune cells and may therefore lead to a slower immune response.

It contributes to normal thyroid function.

Antioxidant il helps the body react to any influence and normalizes physiological functions.

Studies? Yes !

Studies have shown that Selenium interacts with many of the body's enzymes and proteins, and an increase in blood levels of Selenium is associated with an enhanced immune response.

It would also slow down the oxidation of lipids on cell membranes.

What is the purpose of Selenium in the homeopathic product Immunim Vital :
Oligo element and antioxidant

Selenium is a trace element with anti-oxidant properties:

Some factors aggravating the bad action of free radicals or oxidants :

  • Pollution
  • Fuel combustion
  • Cigarette smoke
  • Radiation (microwaves, mobile, x-rays, chemotherapy)
  • Ultraviolet light
  • Heavy metals

but not only that,

It contributes to cellular protection against oxidative stress and thus limits premature ageing of cells.

What are the virtues of Selenium?

Sodium Selenite is a different form of Selenium. Thus, the Laboratory HOMEOGUM has formulated its product in homeopathy and phytotherapy, Immunim Vital with 47 µg of SodiumSelenitein daily intake.

It counteracts immune deficiencies, contributes to normal thyroid function.

A deficiency in Selenium is not symptomatic and the groups concerned are smokers, heavy drinkers, drug addicts, the elderly and people exposed to pollutants.

Role of this product in contributing to normal thyroid function:
You'll be surprised!

In the human body, the highest concentration of Selenium is found in the thyroid gland. Because this trace element is involved in the production of thyroid hormones that enable all vital organs to function properly.

It is vital for the synthesis of prostaglandins (essential fatty acids) found in all human tissues down to the hair and carried by the blood system.

These are the natural "mediators" in the blood involved in immune response, repair andDNA synthesis.

Interests: Thyroid & Immune system

This trace element improves and regulates thyroid function and the general immune system for endocrine and hormonal stability.
